ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT II, Office of Digital Learning (ODL)-Abdul Latif Jameel World Education Lab (J-WEL), to perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks for the J-WEL management team. Will provide support to managers and staff, assist with daily office needs, and manage general administrative activities.  Responsibilities include working closely with the admin team with a variety of administrative functions,, including providing general office coverage; scheduling complex appointments and meetings; arranging international and domestic travel and submitting and processing expense and travel reports via Concur; preparing materials for presentations and meeting logistics (room reservations, food, audiovisual, etc.); assisting with special projects and event planning; ensuring the smooth and productive operation of the business unit on a daily basis; assisting with website postings, communications, emails, report writing, and other written activities; and handling a variety of duties in support of day-to-day operations, including arranging reimbursements, assisting with purchasing and invoice processing, and processing other transactions as requested.

REQUIRED:  a minimum of three years’ related experience; excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills; attention to accuracy; ability to handle multiple and varied tasks and meet deadlines; ability to work both independently and as part of a team; proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and SAP; experience managing complex scheduling; flexibility; and ability to exercise independent judgment and/or seek guidance when dealing with multiple priorities and the often unpredictable activities that present themselves during the course of the day.  Seek someone who is proactive in anticipating the needs of the office and comfortable with and able to work with frequent interruptions in a high traffic, open office environment.  Bachelor's degree and knowledge of the MIT environment strongly preferred
