Position Overview:
The Learner Success and Data Coordinator is a member of the MIT xPRO team, reporting to a Senior Instructional Designer and Program Manager of MIT xPRO.
The Learner Success and Data Coordinator partners with MIT faculty, course teams and members of MIT xPRO team to oversee successful learner outcomes and to analyze learner data to improve the overall experience of MIT xPRO courses.
MIT xPRO is a unit with MIT Open Learning that develops online and blended professional education programs.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):

Partner and collaborate effectively with MIT faculty, MIT Course Assistants, and MIT xPRO instructional designers to oversee successful learner outcomes during MIT xPRO course runs.

Foster an online classroom experience that engages, engerizes, and motivates online learners.

Run frequent course reports to monitor and assess learner progress and interpret results

Communicate directly with learners to support them in assignment completion, overall use of the course platform, and to ensure they are on track to succeed.

Work closely with MIT xPRO course teams to share real-time feedback from learners and make recommendations for instructional and pedagogical improvements.

Analyze learner data and other data related to the learning design to spot patterns and trends and to optimize the overall course experience.

Identify core learner metrics for each program/course to track and report out on a consistent basis.

Create data reports for each course run that summarize core learner metrics and cumulative data over time.

Create instructional content (written or video format) to improve existing course content.

Collaborate cross-functionally with video, marketing, sales, customer support, customer success, engineering, and finance to ensure all groups have the information they need to do their jobs effectively and provide a seamless experience to learners.

Port all content into the technology platform that delivers MIT xPRO programs.

Assist course teams with beta testing and quality assurance for online programs.

Develop and maintain documentation related to learner success processes and data reports.

Set up and coordinate course webinars.
Supervision Received:
Supervision is provided by the Senior Instructional Designer and Program Manager of MIT xPRO.
Supervision Exercised:
No direct reports. May monitor and coordinate the work of students and temps.
Qualifications & Skills:
MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree plus 2 years of experience OR High School diploma or equivalent plus 6 years of administrative and/or project/program management experience is required.

High-level proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Power Point.

Strong project management skills, including proactive communication, managing workload to stay within deadlines.

Proven experience with technology-based learning design.

Adept at identifying and framing problems, setting priorities, and making critical assessments

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Knowledge of instructional design principles, onine pedagogical strategies, and adult learning theory as applied to online learning solutions.

Experience with LMS and Content Creation Tools.

Proficiency in analyzing learner data and interpreting patterns and trends to optimize course design and learner outcomes (mixed methods research experience, and use of data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, SPSS, R or R Studio, Prism Graphpad, Google Looker Studio)
