Open education creates a plethora of opportunities for people to learn, especially people who may not have the means to enroll in academic programs. But how do learners with disabilities navigate and participate in these digital learning environments? How do content creators design their open educational materials to be more inclusive?

In this conversation with Mary Ziegler, Online Accessibility Program Manager, and Yvonne Ng, Annual Giving and Donor Relations Officer for MIT Open Learning, you’ll learn about her pursuits in making open education more accessible and inclusive and more about MIT Open Learning’s approach and efforts.

We welcome your questions or comments you’d like to share with Mary. An American Sign Language interpreter will be available.  If you need another accommodation to access the event, please email MIT Open Learning at ol-giving@mit.edu.

This event is free and open to the public. Register on EventBrite: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/mit-open-learning-salon-accessibility-in-open-education-tickets-506649521357
