DeBoer & Breslow: Integrating MITx into MIT’s First-Year Physics Courses
The promise of edX was that it would both provide courses to the world and improve teaching and learning on campus. In 2013, a team of MIT physics faculty and instructors integrated features of the platform into introductory physics. We studied the use of those resources, focusing on the Checkable Answer Feature (CAF), and report on what we have learned about student study strategies.
