Tim Finase
Timothy Finase is the associate director of Customer and Learner Support at MIT Open Learning, where he has been a key member of the team since 2019. In this role, Finase leads a high-performing team dedicated to delivering world-class support and ensuring a consistently positive experience for learners around the globe.
Finase oversees the strategic and day-to-day operations of the support function, with a focus on performance management, process improvement and cross-functional collaboration. His team plays a critical role in shaping how MIT Open Learning supports its diverse community—resolving issues efficiently, advocating for learners’ needs and continuously evolving support as a value driver across the organization.
With a strong belief in customer centricity, Finase is passionate about making things easier, faster and more impactful for learners. He is a visible and engaged leader who thrives on coaching his team, building strong partnerships across departments and driving initiatives that align with MIT Open Learning’s mission and goals.
Finase holds a bachelor’s degree in organizational leadership from Northeastern University.
