Minister Šuplinska will share insights on the initiative she is leading to reform higher education in Latvia, with the goal to become a fully innovation-driven society based on excellent education and competitive research. Science must be leading form in education to provide not only daily base scientist performance, but also invest knowledge, innovations and technologies into all the other economic fields. There have been no changes to the higher education system of Latvia since the restoration of independence, so now it’s time to reinvent our scientific society and highlight it. Dr. Šuplinska will share insights of transforming science field and society perception of scientific contribution to our economic growth.
