Agile education for a digital-first future
Agile continuous education (ACE) at MIT and beyond
Worldwide, the workforce is going through a rapid evolution as technology, business models and work practices change. A central need in this period of change is learning. The traditional models of education – classes and in-person degrees, for example – are increasingly incompatible with the needs of the market, which requires more continuous, granular, incremental and affordable alternatives. Emerging modalities such as online education and bootcamps present new possibilities. Agile continuous education (ACE) is a new educational framework that combines individual, group and real-life mentored learning using modern modalities for delivering learning.
In this session, you will:
- Gain an understanding of the ACE framework
- Learn about two exemplar projects showcasing the model: The MIT Refugee Action Hub (ReACT) and the American Institute for Manufacturing Integrated Photonics (AIM Photonics)
- Join in interactive discussion with the presenters
