Google Colab uses AI to transform the way software gets built, whether by students learning to code or experienced data scientists performing detailed analysis. Google engineer George Whitfield will explain how the use of AI agents presents a new paradigm, providing the capability to interpret the context surrounding a user's tasks, determine various ways to provide support, and take action alongside the user's working environment. Earlier this year, Colab announced its Data Science Agent as a major step forward, enabling a user to work with an agent to write entire Python notebooks. Building on this work, Colab has reimagined how agentic systems can help software engineers.
