Overcoming the Perceived Challenges of Building Remote Work Opportunities for Displaced Communities

Transforming the Future Work: The Power of Systems Thinking for Collaborative Actions in AI and Migration

The Future of Work Summit took place on June 20 th at the Geneva Graduate Institute as a ‘sister summit’ complementing and supporting the Migration Summit’s mission. At the Future of Work Summit, participants explored practical tools to build trust, shift mindsets and shape collaborative efforts, with a focus on two critical unknowns at the forefront of international discourse: Migration and Artificial Intelligence. In this interactive session, the TASC Platform will share insights from the Future of Work Summit, introduce participants to the power of systems thinking as a tool for informing collaboration and silo-breaking, and discuss the challenges of working with the unknown.


Day 4

Empowering Talent, Strengthening Businesses: The Opportunities of Impact Outsourcing

First formalized as a concept in 2013 by the Rockefeller Foundation, impact sourcing is “an inclusive employment practice through which companies in global supply chains intentionally hire and provide career development opportunities to people who otherwise would have limited prospects for formal employment.” Procurement processes for digital services have become routine for a wide range of entities, including enterprises, small and medium-sized businesses, start-ups, NGOs, and government organizations.

Examples of Sustainable Economic Development Activities for Refugees by EFE in Jordan

This session will explore successful models of sustainable economic development activities implemented by Education For Employment (EFE) in Jordan, specifically designed for refugees. We will discuss the experiences and processes of building partnerships with companies to provide employment opportunities, highlighting key challenges and solutions. The session will showcase real-life examples of programs that have effectively supported refugees in gaining economic independence. Ghadeer Khuffash – CEO of EFE Jordan, will moderate a panel of key stakeholders, including representatives from partner companies, NGOs, and beneficiaries.

Innovators' Showcase

Hosted by MIT Emerging Talent, Na’amal, and Karam Foundation, this session will feature various lightning talks introducing projects and entrepreneurial efforts addressing SDG-aligned challenges such as healthcare access, education access, financial inclusion, climate justice, and safety.
