An urban digital twin built on a web-based geographical information systems platform allows urban planners, surveyors, and architects to collaborate with associated professionals in designing, developing, and operating critical urban infrastructure. Urban planner and geospatial scientist Soheil Sabri explains how, by merging information technology and engineering professionals with policymakers, planners can benefit from the value of digital technologies. The session provides some application examples, including a scenario builder that helps landscape architects and transportation planners understand the implications of their design on current and future developments.
