The upcoming webinar will feature Dr. Peter Chai, an associate professor at Brigham and Women's Hospital and a scientific advisor at Biobot. Dr. Chai will discuss his role in securing non-dilutive government funding for substance use disorder (SUD) research and supporting the growth of a rapidly expanding startup.

Biobot, a startup originating from MIT, leverages wastewater data to assist governments and businesses in improving public health. In 2022, Biobot was recognized on TIME’s 100 Most Influential Companies List and played a crucial role during the COVID-19 pandemic by tracking infection spikes through wastewater analysis.

Outside of the ER, Dr. Chai focuses on researching and developing digital health innovations, including ingestible sensors for monitoring medication adherence, real-time behavioral interventions, wearable telemedicine, and sensorless biometric detection.

The webinar will consist of a 40-minute presentation followed by a 20-minute Q&A session with the audience.
