Measuring Student Understanding in Systems Biology

Prof. Gore uses flash cards to measure class understanding, and peer instruction where students in-the-know clarify for those in-the-dark. Pre-class readings and questions online are due the night before class, the results of which Gore uses to gauge what he needs to go over the next day.
