Our events engage MIT faculty and the larger MIT community through presentations and discussions of educational technology applications from MIT faculty as well as practitioners representing the learning sciences, digital learning, assessment, learning technology, and diverse disciplines. xTalks are a vehicle for sharing and disseminating innovative teaching and learning practices, leading to contextually relevant adoption and eventually successful educational transformation. These gatherings encourage the development of communities of interest and practice. The outcomes help inform the transformation of place-based and online education at MIT and elsewhere.
