At the MIT Biomechatronics lab, scientists seek to advance technologies that accelerate the merging of body and machine. These technologies include device architectures based on the body's own designs used to restore biological functions, technologies that behave like muscles, and control methods that use principles of biological movement to assist locomotion. Researcher Lucy Du will join MIT Horizon to discuss the work behind the biomechatronics lab, giving viewers insight into the development process and the impact of biomechatronics projects. After the talk, Lucy will take questions from the audience.
