Space is a war-fighting domain. This may be difficult to accept, given that we would like to imagine that space is preserved for peaceful purposes, such as science and exploration. But this is not the case. Adversarial engagement in space does not look like warfare on Earth. We need new technologies to enable space superiority— including nonkinetic methods. In this talk, Gregory Falco will describe some of the latest research in developing space technology for offensive cyber and electronic operations and also discuss the research frontier in defenses against these capabilities.
